In the spring of 2023, I worked as a visual editor at Columbia Missourian. The daily routine involves identifying and screening potential visual stories happening in Mid-Missouri, and working with other departments in the newsroom to meet the daily visual publishing needs.
    Working with the photographers includes placing photographers and reporters on befitting stories and training the photographers to ensure they capture the best moments. Also, I need to communicate with photographers on location and select the best photos from the full-take after their shooting. 

    The photo editing work consists of making appropriate adjustments to selected photos in Photoshop, attaching the edited photos in different stories, and making a simple design for the web stories. In addition, I select visual elements for the newspaper printing, make sure the photos tell the best story and work with the designer to create the layout to present the daily newspaper.
