The most important thing I noticed while editing this story was whether the choice of photos reflected the original authenticity and diversity of the story. There was a wide variety of people volunteering on the day, and to present that truth, I took special care in editing to reflect the diversity of the people because I didn't want the final photos to feel like a "white-only "or "black-only "event. With this prerequisite, I had more to consider in choosing photos.
In addition, when I worked with the designer to design the photo page, the two photos in the bottom left corner were separated. To make the layout more beautiful and to cover more details on the photo page, I recreated the diptych of those photos. This way of presentation is unique to newspapers, and the two images are still presented separately in the web version to show details clearly. Further editing and design for different mediums help people have the best visual experience when they see the story via various platforms.
